Raffi party.jpg

Raffi Hayrapet is a composer and producer who has been playing guitar since the age of ten. His musical world is shaped not only by his craft, but by his academic journey: as a graduate of music psychology and a former neuroscience student at the University of Birmingham, Raffi brings a rare blend of scientific insight and artistic intuition to everything he creates. This background informs the way he approaches branding, storytelling, and sound design giving him a deeper awareness of what his music communicates and the language to articulate it.

Raffi’s early career took place at Oberton Music where he composed for award-winning short films including 250km and Song of the Flying Leaves. During this period, he honed his craft in writing music for moving picture, developing a sensitivity to emotion, pacing, and narrative that continues to define his work today. Raffi also volunteered with the Gyumri Orchestra of Folk Instruments as a music copyist, digitising their sheet music archive and contributing arrangements. He even got to arrange and record his own composition Aden’s Dance which the orchestra later performed in concert, and was interviewed by Armenia's National TV  station about it.

Raffi later brought his film-scoring sensibilities into the world of branding and commercial music. His freelance work quickly expanded, most notably leading to the creation of the sonic identity for ATG, developed in collaboration with Sonic Minds. He has since gone on to collaborate with leading brands such as Allonnia, Gradiant and Fog Reports, and continues to expand his artistry across industries and media.

Alongside his professional work, Raffi continues to pursue personal projects. His Instagram series "Sounds of Life" where he turns everyday sounds into music, has gained significant traction, with one video surpassing one million views. He also releases music under his own name, blending acoustic songwriting with world-folk influences and electronic production.
